BC Public Schools Are Destroying Our Children With Woke Ideology

Barry Neufeld is an elected public school trustee in the Chilliwack School District, who has served with distinction and dilligence in the care of children’s education for 30 years.

He has been subject to vicious smear campaigns in the media, a human rights complaint by a homosexual-activist teacher’s union boss, and calls for him to be removed from the position to which Chilliwack parents democratically-elected him.

Why all this hatred towards Trustee Neufeld?

It’s because he had the courage to point out that elements of the SOGI 123 (Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity) teaching resource for BC schools, in particular the teaching that biological sex does not determine whether you’re a boy or girl, and that children are free to change their “gender” whenever they want, was harmful to children and represented “child abuse”.

While Trustee Neufeld has been fighting in court to clear his good name of these orchestrated attacks against his reputations and his democratic rights over these five years, BC public schools have continue to teach the SOGI 123 program from Kindergarten to Gr. 12.

In part because of the province wide classroom indoctrination of children with SOGI ideology, we’ve witnessed an explosion in the number of young children and adolescents identifying as “transgender”, and being put on puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones.

Barry Neufeld was correct.

It is an act of child abuse for BC school districts to affirm children in sexual confusion, to help them socially transition at school as they’ve been doing, and to encourage them to take puberty blockers, cross sex hormones, and eventually for some of them, a sex change operation.

BC schools are destroying children with this dangerous, un-scientific ideology.

But Jack, does it really cause harm, you ask? Let me count the ways...

Let’s analyze the side effects of stage 1 transitioning - puberty blockers, which are typically given between 10 to 12 years old. In spite of what hesitant parents of gender-confused kids are told by the “experts”counselling them along the path of sexual transitioning, the effects of the potent drugs are not reversible.

Researchers in Glasgow and Oslo universities studying the effects of puberty blockers found that they produced lasting reduction in spatial memory and increased emotional instability.

Researchers in New York studying the effects of puberty blockers in mice found that they produced depression, despair-like behaviour behaviour in females and hyperactivity in males.

This jives with research done on humans because the drug used in puberty blockers has been used for many years to treat conditions like endometriosis, and so we know that research has long reported unwanted effects on cognition, emotions and executive function.

“Executive function” is a medical and scientific term that most parents have never heard of. What does it mean? Should they be concerned if their child’s executive function gets impaired?

Well, executive function is your brain’s ability to think adaptively, to plan, to organize, to manage your time, and to self montor, amongst other things.

Dr. John Whitehall, a professor of paediatrics at Western Sydney University in Australia has stated that while on puberty blockers, “The volume of the brain decreases at a rate 10 times faster than ageing.”

Isn’t that astonishing?

The health care, psychiatric and education systems pushing affirmation and puberty blockers as the cure to gender confusion are causing children’s brain volumes to decrease at a rate 10x faster than the natural ageing process!

There is also undeniable evidence that puberty blockers can cause irreversible infertility.

Puberty blockers can make bones brittle – that’s osteoporosis – and stunt bone growth. A blocked child will often end up shorter than his or her peers, which, if you think about it, can also cause distress because they may feel left behind their developing peers.

Stage 2 of transitioning is cross-sex hormones. That’s giving very high dose testosterone to girls and high does estrogen to boys, to produce and sustain the secondary sex characteristics of the opposite sex, such as facial hair on females and larger breasts in males.

Children who do the stage 1 puberty blockers almost always proceed to stage 2. But these extremely powerful hormones must be given for life, and must be monitored for serious side-effects including cardiovascular disease, blood clots, and various cancers . Yes, hormone therapy is carcinogenic! Studies have found that prolonged use of cross-sex hormones, which, as I said, must be taken for life, are associated with increased risk for cancer, including cancers of the breast, prostate, ovaries, cervix and vagina.

This sounds like a wonderfully safe and effective medical treatment doesn’t it?

What loving parent wouldn’t want to subject their child to a “treatment” that makes your bones brittle, stunts your growth, makes you permanently infertile, and increases the risk of heart disease, blood clots and all sorts of cancers?

Stage 3 of transitioning is surgery to amputate perfectly healthy body parts, and then to construct simulations of opposite sex genitals. Complications are common. According to Dr. Whitehall, tissue grafts may die, holes created (to simulate a vagina) can fill in, tubes can obstruct, openings can appear, lengths of bone that are sometimes placed in the shaft to stiffen the imitation penis may protrude, bowels may perforate and germs can invade. You can imagine this is not very pleasant.

But this is where BC school boards, and those in most boards in every province and territory are trying to lead our precious children.

Why are we intruding into the bodies and minds of children anyway? Is any of it necessary?

Well, scientific studies prove that the vast majority of transgender children will grow out of it if parents simply take an approach of gently watching and waiting.

Would you believe that the current “bible of psychiatry”, the official Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders of the American Psychiatric Association, admits that up to 97.8% of boys and up to 88%t of girls have been reported to “desist” from their gender confusion prior to the onset of puberty?

If up to 97.8% of boys and up to 88% of sexually confused girls will eventually feel at peace with their bodies, why are we fed the fever-pitched propaganda that unless we affirm gender-dysphoric kids as being the opposite sex, and help them transition, they’re going to commit suicide? Clearly, the suicide card is a lie, in order to push a radical ideological agenda.

Gone are the days when boards of education were concerned with developing the cerebral region in students, by helping them excel in writing, math and science.

No, instead of the cerebral region, they are fixated almost exclusively on the pubic region. School districts and teachers now push sex and sexual ideologies non-stop.

This is why I’ve taken to calling it the Pubic School System instead of the Public School System. And whether it’s BC or Ontario, these education leaders are totally obsessed with the sexual indoctrination of children. In Ontario for example, standardized testing scores scores in math and science have been falling year after year for over a decade. But sexual programming eats up more and more of school day calendar every year. I would guess it’s the same story with BC schools, although I haven’t seen any data.

Let’s examing a bit further the suicide card that has been used by LGBT activists and establishment elites to justify the transgender chemical and surgical transitioning craze that is exploding in society in epidemic proportions.

Is it true that sexual transitioning to the opposite sex reduces the risk of suicide?

No. The opposite has been proven true.

The most authoritative study in the world on the effects to mental health of sex-change surgery, a Swedish cohort study, found that post-operative transsexuals had a 19 times higher rate of death by suicide.

By affirming a transgender identity and encouraging puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, schools are putting many of these children on the the path to sex change surgery, which will result in many of them committing suicide later in life, perhaps 10 to 20 years later, when they regret the irreversible changes they made to their bodies. For many, they will see it as a mutilation that they now wish they had never committed.

The cold, hard truth is that schools will be responsible for putting many of these children in body bags when they come to regret the irreversible changes.

This study alone, and the 19 times higher rate of death by suicide that it found in post-operative transsexuals should end the debate on transitioning children and giving them puberty blockers and opposite-sex hormones. This powerful Swedish cohort study should be enough to cause Canadian politicians to make chemical and surgical transitioning illegal for children under 18, if not for every everybody nationwide. And of course, to make it illegal for schools to encourage transitioning.

This is why on October 15th, we need to elect common sense, plain talking candidates like Barry Neufeld to the office of public school trustee, in every school district across the province, so they can advocate for the best interests of children.

Public schools must stop destroying our children with their woke ideologies.
